Lachlan Janetzki was our club's candidate to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award at Camp Getaway this year.

Lachlan is a graduate of Mount Alexander College, a former school captain, and a recipient of our club civics and citizenship award at Ascot Vale West PS in 2018. 

What a joyful evening we had as we welcomed our District Governor Peter Shepheard and his father Neil to our end of year celebrations.

 

With 47 attendees including our Cluster Coordinator David Dippie, Peter and Sue Duras from Rotary Central Melbourne, Yvonne Farquharson {former member} from Rotary Newcastle, 3 of our youth program recipients and 3 new members, the night was filled with fun, celebration and conversations.

What an outstanding success this was!     Our first event delivered 160 meals to members of the community.  

In the presence of Mayor Rose Iser, Cr Fran Cosgrove, Djerring Hub and MVCC staff, Rotarians and community members we provided a tasty and nutritious meal free of charge.

Sincere thanks to Life Church for the donation of food items, to the talented Laura who ran the kitchen, and to the many who chopped, cooked and served. Particular thanks to Dennis and Peter from Rotary West Footscray who manned the dishwasher and sink; Stuart and his team from Williamstown, Karolina, Alex and the wonderful women from the community who cooked and served.

The AGM is done with another fabulous Annual Report showcasing the great work we have done in the 2024-2025 year.

Congratulations Melina Caccetta who has been selected as President for the 2026-2027year - giving her a second year i the role, and following in the footsteps of Shraddha and Lesley who have both done 2 year stints.
