The Yarraville Club was packed as Rotarians and partners from the clubs in the Gateway Custer came together on 10 November to welcome District Governor Amanda Wendt.  Together with DGEN Michael Lapina and Alex, AGs Tony Laycock and Peter Shepheard and Club Service Chair Lilli Teichman the room was abuzz.
 
         
Amanda shared her thoughts in this year where we Imagine Rotary and her focus on engaging with volunteers as a focus on membership.
 
                
 
During the evening everyone participated in a For-a-Meal packing event where 125 bags were paced in 13 minutes!!!  These were distributed between Reaching Out Melbourne,  WERN, Kensington and Ascot Vale food pantries.
 
During the evening Amanda also shared "Tell your DG to go Jump"  - a plan to raise $$$$ for the Rotary Foundation where she and some others will tandem jump from a small plane over Melbourne next year. 
 
Amanda also presented 3 Mentor/Mentee awards to Edith Chen/Melina Caccetta, Peter Cribb/Shraddha Sharma and Lesley McCarthy/Yvonne Farquharson.
