Member Lorry Rowe and her son Shane have visited the Philippines again to support the True Manila program.
On a Sunday afternoon, Lorry, Shane and Rotarians and Volunteers of True Manila Foundation Advocates joined forces with the street kids along Onyx St. San Andres Bukid Market, Manila and randomly distributed food, toys and school supplies.
All were overwhelmed and moved seeing these kids growing up in this dreadful environment, most specially those who live under the bridge along the road. It was a tiring but fulfilling day of service.
They helped a lot of vendors by buying their food items to distribute. They also we rented a Jeep which was loaded with toys, books, school supplies and cakes. What a Day indeed!
This Random Act of Kindness was spearheaded by Lorry Rowe and her son Shane Warke of the Rotary Club of Flemington Kensington in Melbourne, Australia.
They were joined by HCP Jinky Maleleo of Rotary Club of Mactan, Cebu and RC Murphy, Cubao’s PP Thess Parungao, together with Arden Tiong, Popoy Ladera and Mr. Edwin Nombre of True Manila Foundation.
