District ZOOM Meetings

Our District Governor Grant Hocking is holding ZOOM meetings on Monday and Wednesdays at 6pm.  Some excellent speakers and fun get togethers so far.  All welcome!

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Board has agreed to postpone this year's planned Art Show.  While the dates were set to coincide with the AFL Grand Final weekend, this is deemed to close and with business closures, sponsorship opportunities limited.
At this time we are planning for late March 2021 but this is TBC.
Introducing #frontyarding
Pre COVID19, Australians have lived in their backyards, enjoyed the space and privacy, now with spatial distancing our social needs can be met in new & safe ways. has started tea@3.
#frontyarding is a simple way to have social collisions with your neighbours, BYO cup/glass and drink and talk at a distance over front wards and picket fences.
Kellie O'Callaghan has got the kids chalking at a distance in Latrobe and Toby Dawson has started
#drivewaydrinks@3pm in Wollongong, its a regular check in to share resources and check in with the people on your street, especially those who are older. #anxietyrelief #wellbeing #loneliness #community #socialimpact #communityengagement #socialgood
I have seen this in my own community whist walking my dogs.  Neighbours sitting on driveways enjoying a drink and a chat across an empty street.  Keep it going!
Thanks Matiu for sharing.

As previously advised, both the Op Shops are closed until further notice.
Both Sam and Lorry are staying safe at home as are our volunteers.
Donations in Kind is also closed and is unable to accept or provide any materials or equipment at this time.
Our thoughts are with Jon Temby and family following the death of his brother Rowan recently.
Rachel is continuing her Unravel with Rach gentle stretching sessions on Facebook.  She also has tips on staying strong at home with 2 cans of baked beans!
