In January 2020, 4 Year 12 students were sponsored by Flemington Kensington Rotary to attend the National Youth Science Forum camps in Canberra and Brisbane.
NYSF is a 10 days intense science program for beginning Year 12 students which focusses on extending their knowledge and understandings of science careers beyond the traditional.
Students ominate and attend interviews before selection.  This highly prestigious program accepts only 600 students annually in 3 camps - 1 in Brisbane and 2 in Canberra.

Alex and Ella from mount Alexander College and Emma and Gabriella from Lowther Hall were funded in combinations of Flemington Kensington Rotary, the Toyota Foundation, the Commonwealth Government STEM Grants and personal contributions for the $3500 fee.

Alex, Emma and Gabrielle attended Brisbane and Ella was sent to Canberra.  Unfortunately Ella's camp was cut short due to the devastating bushfires in January.
