Flemington Kensington Rotary was nominated for a MVCC Neighbourhood Spirit Award.
On 23 March, Lesley, Jo, Peter and Bev joined a large crowd at the Mediterranean Fiesta in Keilor East where the council awards were announced.
Among several other deserving nominees, we were recognised for our community work over the last 37 years. Mayor Ava and councillors Samantha, Paula, Phil, John were on hand to make the presentations and speak to us.
Peter as a former MVCC Citizen of the Year was welcomed by councillors who remembered his work, and he had the opportunity to chat to several councillors about our programs including RORP.
We also caught up with Gerard from Keilor East, Maria and Richard from Essendon, Ben Carroll MP and an honorary RCKE member and our community group leader David Dippie.
